Annual Scholarships

Chancellor University and Henry Ford Community College award two full ride scholarships annually towards bachelor's degrees, valued at between $23,100-$25,500*. The Scholarship Committee is composed of five Chancellor Alumni who meet and review each submission separately and fairly. Chancellor University Faculty and Staff do not view the information and have no say in the scholarship selection process. (*estimated based on tuition of $385/credit hour)

If you are interested in applying, please read the requirements below and submit your transcript, essay and resume below by July 1. Winners will be announced by August 1 and must enroll and begin classes with the Fall I session of the same year.

Scholarship requirements:

  1. Graduate of Henry Ford Community College with an associate's degree and a minimum GPA of a 3.5.
  2. Submit a 500-word essay covering four topics to the scholarship committee (see link below):
    1. How will earning a bachelor degree at Chancellor help you on your career path?
    2. Why do you think you are a good candidate for the scholarship?
    3. How does earning a bachelor degree become beneficial to your role in your community?
    4. What do think your contributions to the classroom will be?
  3. Send your resume to the scholarship committee (see link below).
  4. Once we have received your submission, we will be in touch to ask you to fill out the Chancellor University application. This is a requirement of the scholarship process.
