Chancellor University Names Jason Wood as Theodore Ernst Chair of Accounting

Seven Hills, Ohio, August 13, 2012 – Chancellor University is pleased to announce that it has named Mr. Jason Wood CPA as the Theodore Ernst Chair of Accounting. Theodore Ernst, co-founder of the worldwide accounting firm Ernst & Young, was an early graduate of Chancellor University.
“Jason has done a superb job leading our undergraduate program in accounting,” said Chancellor University President Robert Daugherty. “His dedication, expertise and enthusiasm in the world of accounting - as well as his commitment to higher education - make him especially well-suited for this role.”
Mr. Wood is the Lead Faculty in Accounting at the rank of Assistant Professor at Chancellor University and has over 15 years of global, public accounting experience, primarily with the Big Four accounting firms. Mr. Wood also has over six years of academic teaching experience at various institutions where he has adjunct taught many accounting, accounting information system, and forensic accounting courses. He is known as being student-focused and strives to help students achieve their educational potential.
“Jason is a distinguished scholar who, by accepting this position, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Chancellor University,” said Dr. Steve Kerr, Provost of Chancellor University. “We are delighted that he is the Theodore Ernst Chair of Accounting.”

Founded in 1848 as a mercantile college, Chancellor University is the second oldest business school in the United States. Notable alumni include John D. Rockefeller and Harvey Firestone.
