The mission of Chancellor University Student Services and Academic Advising is to promote student development and success by helping students to identify, clarify, and achieve their academic goals. Through individualized professional advising and teaching practices, Chancellor University academic advisors challenge and support students in their process of becoming self-directed lifelong learners.
The Purpose of Student Services
The Student Services team provides a sustainable circle of support for Chancellor University students by providing the following assistance:
- To provide personalized developmental advising to each student
- To assist in defining, evaluating, and pursuing the skills needed to achieve their academic and professional goals
- To be a positive professional role model for all students
- To inform students about the services available at Chancellor University that are designed to enhance student success and increase student persistence
- Making sure students understand their rights and responsibilities, the substance behind their major, their professional objectives, etc.

Steps for Registering
Step 1 Review Your Curriculum Worksheet
You will want to review your curriculum worksheet to determine what classes you will be scheduled to take next. You can find your curriculum worksheet by using the following link (
https://sac.chancelloru.edu/Home.aspx) or by contacting your academic advisor.
Step 2 Register for Courses
Your Student Advising Specialist will be able to assist you in registering for classes. A Student Advising Specialist can be reached by calling toll free (877) 654-6906 or (216) 432-8951 or by emailing
academicadvising@chancelloru.edu.
Your classes will appear on Blackboard the first week of class. You can drop your classes the first week classes start with no cost to you financially or academically. However, before you drop a class, you should contact your financial aid advisor as you need to be in at least 6 credit hours to be eligible for federal financial aid. After the drop/add period, you will be required to withdraw from your classes which may also affect your financial aid eligibility and may result in financial and academic cost to you.
Step 3 Verify Your Payment Arrangements are Complete
Talk with your financial aid advisor and any outside financier to verify that your classes are fully paid for before they start. You can make a payment by
clicking here.
Step 4 Buy Your Books
You can purchase your books at
http://bookstore.mbsdirect.net/chancellor.htm or by calling 1-800-325-3252. If you are using financial aid, you can contact your financial aid advisor in order to determine if you are eligible for a book voucher. Please plan on up to 72 hours to process the book voucher request and approximately 1 business week for the books to arrive.
Step 5 Review Your Online Resources
Many enriching resources are available to Chancellor University students, such as our
Career Services Center,
Online Tutoring Center,
Online Library, and
Online Classroom Portal: Blackboard. Familiarize yourself with these resources before classes, in order to ensure your success.
